Salary: $156,000 - 187,200 per year Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in R programming language
- Masters or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in energy data analytics
- Familiarity with California Energy Commission (CEC) or California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is highly preferred
- Strong analytical skills and experience in statistical modeling
- Ability to work within a hybrid technology stack including Microsoft Excel and R
Responsibilities: - Lead technical architect for project, analyzing energy efficiency, building electrification, and demand flexibility program performance
- Process and manage extensive datasets including Smart Meter and utility billing data
- Develop and maintain R scripts for documenting energy forecasts for state regulatory audits
- Model the impact of building electrification on the states energy load profile
- Review utility reports and apply statistical methods to verify energy savings
- Update forecasting tools for the cost and energy impacts of transitioning to electric appliances
- Enhance load-shifting tools to meet state reliability goals
- Implement automation and AI solutions to categorize and process legislative and technical reports
