Interim HealthCare- Maine is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to students in Topsham, ME. The ideal candidate will support the health and well-being of students by delivering timely medical assistance, managing chronic conditions, and promoting a safe and healthy school environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
- Assess and manage acute and chronic health conditions in a school setting.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to support student health.
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine.
- Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
