As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Symphony Solution Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring that our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to test and validate applications, identifying potential issues early in the development process. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience and overall success of our custom applications for clients across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Strategy: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications, ensuring full coverage of requirements and user stories.

  • Manual & Automated Testing: Perform both manual and automated testing on web and mobile applications, focusing on functionality, usability, performance, security, and cross-platform compatibility.

  • Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects in an organized and effective manner. Communicate issues clearly to developers and collaborate to resolve them.

  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the development team to enhance software testing procedures and improve overall product quality.

  • Regression & Performance Testing: Conduct regression tests to ensure that new features do not break existing functionality, and perform performance testing to validate the scalability and load-handling of the applications.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation for testing processes, results, and issue resolutions. Provide regular test progress reports to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of quality software.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, with a focus on web and mobile applications.

  • Proficiency in manual testing methods for web and mobile applications.

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Strong understanding of RESTful API testing using tools like Postman or similar.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively document issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Certifications (Optional): ISTQB or similar quality assurance certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

  • Knowledge of security testing practices is a plus.
