Job Description

This role includes a $40,000 base salary plus commission, with the opportunity to earn up to $100,000 annually based on individual performance.

Gage Hospitality Group is currently seeking a fun and passionate Private Events Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for acquiring new clients, responding to group dining and event inquiries, converting leads into signed contracts and collaborating with the events team to ensure each event is executed flawlessly and exceeds customer expectations. Success in this position requires outstanding communication skills, a strong background in food and beverage, a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Private Events Manager Responsibilities:
  • Identify and strategically cultivate new prospects; create strong client relationships
  • Review and respond promptly to all phone and email inquiries with tailored information
  • Sell, book and contract Private Event and Group Dining business
  • Conduct site visits for prospective and contracted clients
  • Generate BEOs and coordinate with FOH and BOH teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Consistently communicate with client to determine guest needs and program requirements; assist in securing all additional event requirements (e.g., audio visual, floral, etc.)
  • Join a talented Sales, Marketing, FOH and BOH team with a successful track-record in implementing thousands of events with a high degree of repeat business
  • Provide important input to the Marketing team’s Private Events strategy and communications initiatives
What makes you great:
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in event planning, coordination or management with hospitality background preferred. Wedding planning experience a plus.
  • An ability to work in a team, effectively prioritize and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • An energetic, outgoing personality with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Triple Seat, etc.); experience using Adobe InDesign ideal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to occasionally be present for some portion of selected events including some evenings and weekends.
