We’re looking for a Dispatcher to coordinate daily scheduling and dispatching of drivers and fleet vehicles. This role ensures smooth operations, efficient routing, and excellent communication between drivers, customers, and operations staff. The Dispatcher plays a key role in keeping service delivery on track and compliant with safety standards.
Schedule and dispatch drivers/vehicles per customer requests & company needs
Monitor routes and delivery timelines, making adjustments as needed
Provide real-time updates and resolve issues with drivers & customers
Address delays, traffic, or disruptions by rerouting resources
Maintain accurate dispatch records, logs, and reports
Collaborate with fleet/operations to ensure vehicle readiness
Ensure DOT compliance and safety adherence
Support routing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Prepare daily performance and service reports
Strong organizational & multitasking skills
Clear, professional communication (phone, radio, email)
Quick decision-making under pressure
Dispatch software & GPS tracking proficiency
Knowledge of logistics/transportation regulations
Detail-oriented with solid record-keeping
High school diploma required (Associate’s/Bachelor’s preferred)
3–5 years in dispatch, logistics, or fleet coordination
Waste management, transportation, or environmental services background a plus
Familiarity with DOT regulations and routing software preferred
Prolonged desk/computer work
Clear communication over phone & radio
Occasional travel to customer or operational sites
