**Job Title:** **Carpenters and Concrete Workers** **Pay:** $18 - $25 per hour **About the Role** We are looking for skilled **carpenters** , **concrete workers** , and **steel erectors** to join our team on commercial projects within a 60-mile radius of Waterloo. Projects range from **$1 million to $15 million** , including remodels and new construction at UNI. This position involves a variety of tasks such as: + Demolition work + Earthwork and excavations + Placing and finishing concrete + Preparing layouts + Erecting structural frameworks + Installing ceilings and walls + Welding and signaling operators + Other construction-related duties If you specialize in a particular area, we'll strive to match you with tasks that fit your expertise-though flexibility on job site duties is essential. **Responsibilities** + Perform demolition, earthwork, and excavation tasks + Place and finish concrete; prepare layouts + Erect frameworks and install ceilings/walls + Weld and assist operators as needed + Complete additional construction tasks as assigned **Essential Skills & Qualifications** + **2+ years** of construction experience + Proficiency in framing, carpentry, and concrete work + Ability to lift **50 lbs** and work outdoors + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation **Preferred:** + Experience in carpentry, concrete work, and steel welding + Ownership of basic hand tools (tool pouch, hammer, tape measure, speed square, utility knife) **Why Join Us?** + Opportunities for advancement into leadership roles (field and office) + Competitive benefits: + Health insurance + Paid holidays and PTO + 401(k) retirement plan + Tuition reimbursement for continuing education **Work Environment** + Commercial construction setting + Standard attire: boots, jeans, t-shirt or sweatshirt + Team size: 3-10 people per site + Schedule: **Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM** **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
