As a  Caregiver , you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being. This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others.  You will love being a part of our talented and passionate team where you will feel valued and appreciated while dedicated to making our residents feel right at home. 

Position Type: Part-Time

Shifts Available including every other weekend:
Days, 7am to 3pm (Part-Time)
Nights 11pm to 7am (Part-Time)

Pay: $20.00- $24.38 / hour depending on experience

Location: 1855 10th Avenue West, Shakopee, MN 55379 

Caregiver Responsibilities: 

• Assist the resident with daily living and personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Aide in programming and activities with residents.
• Monitoring the safety and well being of our clients.
• Prepare meals.
• light housekeeping
• Perform other duties as requested.

Caregiver Requirements:

• Needs to have at least 1 year of experience as a Caregiver (Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Attendant (PCA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA))
• A passion for geriatric care.
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
• Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.

About Us:

Emerald Crest offers a specialized assisted living setting for seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia-related conditions. This communal home setting provides a natural, home-like setting to encourage engagement and reduces isolation among residents. Each home consists of 12-15 suites arranged around a warm, friendly, central living and kitchen area. Emerald Crest of Shakopee has 40 beds overall.
