About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist / Sales Representative to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales of landscape services and specialty products such as synthetic turf and premium flooring.
You will be responsible for generating leads, prospecting new clients, and managing opportunities from first contact to close. The ideal candidate has a construction or landscape industry background, strong sales drive, and proven cold-calling and lead generation experience.
Key Responsibilities
Generate, manage, and convert leads into new business opportunities.
Conduct outbound sales calls, emails, and follow-ups to potential clients.
Meet with customers to understand project requirements and provide customized proposals.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with landscape architects, builders, and developers.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Design, and Operations teams to ensure client satisfaction.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and monthly performance updates.
Represent the company professionally at networking events and trade shows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3 10 years of experience in outside sales, business development, or account management.
Background in construction, landscape, site work, synthetic turf, or flooring industries preferred.
Proven experience in cold calling, lead generation, and territory management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Comfortable presenting high-value services and premium products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace and CRM tools.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
